March for Peace, saw an estimated 30 thousand protesters march from Sisowath Quay on the riverside to Independence Monument in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The march started at 3 pm on December 18, with thousands gathering at the Riverside night market and marching to Independence Monument. The marchers declared: Cambodia Needs Peace. The event came as border hostilities with Thailand, which re-ignited on 7 December, escalated with the reported bombing by F16s of the Cambodian border city of Poipet.
